# Add YouTube channel

## Requirements

In order to gain the access to add your YouTube channel, you have to meet two criteria 👇

1. Complete your profile, add your name, bio, city and at least two social links 😎
2. Record your 1st video on IndieLog, just a warm intro. Don't take it serious 😉

And you are all done! We can't wait to see your YouTube channel in our IndieTuber's list.

## How to add your channel?

First, you have to navigate to the IndieTuber's page [indielog.com/indietuber](https://indielog.com/indietuber). You would see a banner on top of the page. There is a button in the middle. If you haven't logged in, you will be guided to log in first. Once you logged in, you would see the **Add Your Channel** button.

Till this point, I think you've already completed the requirements, and you should have the access to add your channel. Once you click the **Add Your Channel** button, you should be a popup modal like below:

The channel ID cannot be a custom URL. If you don't know where to find it, [this link](https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/3250431?hl=en) may help you get it. Let's use Casey Neistat's channel as a demo. His channel ID is *UCtinbF-Q-fVthA0qrFQTgXQ*.

After you provided your channel ID and hit **Fetch Your Data** button, if nothing wrong with your channel ID, you would see a form like below.

You can update the **Channel Title** and **Channel Description** if you want.

Once thing to notice is that we have 256 characters limit for Channel Description. If your YouTube channel description exceeds 256 characters, we will only show the first 256 characters here.

If you think everything looks good, you can click the **Submit** button to add your channel. After a successful submission, just refresh the page and you should be able to see your channel in our list.

## How to update channel info?

If you want to update your channel info, like title, thumbnail or description, you can do **Add Your Channel** again by using the same channel ID. Once you clicked the **Submit** button, all existing data will get updated.
